12 lbs 14 oz!

Little man had his 4 month doctor's appointment today. He now weighs a whopping 12 pounds and 14 ounces (a little over the 10th percentile) and is 23.75 inches long (a little over the 25th percentile). He also got his second round of immunizations. This time, we were prepared and started him on Tylenol before his appointment. So far so good... though the shots themselves this time were worse. He actually bled a lot from the shots, which sucked. (Bye bye favorite t-shirt.) Anyhow, the doctor said that everything looks really good! He's in great health:)

Daycare is going well. Yesterday when I picked Luke up he was in his bouncy seat next to the new baby in her bouncy seat and was just looking around at all the other children, content as can be. It really warmed my heart to see him happy there. (Is that enough emotion, Jess?!?) In fact, every time I pick Luke up I feel more and more comfortable with his school. The teachers are great, and he seems to really be getting along well there. Of course, the teachers could just be telling me what I want to hear, but they really do rave at how well he does. He seems to do better the more chaotic the environment!

We've finally stopped swaddling Luke at night. He kept busting out of the swaddler during the night which was scary because we worried it would cover his face. However, we have been hesitant to stop swaddling him because at 2 months it had been the ticket to better sleep. Alas, that ticket stopped working because for the past month he's been waking up 2, sometimes 3 times a night. So, we decided to ditch the swaddler. It was the right move. He still wakes up 2, 3 times night but now we no longer worry about suffocation! I think part of the reason he's not sleeping well is because of a lingering cough from cold #1 and a runny nose from cold #2. (Thanks, daycare.) Hopefully when he feels better (in June when I'm home full-time) sleep will improve.

Have I mentioned that Luke is starting to laugh? The following video captures his laugh, which is the sweetest sound I have ever heard. Unfortunately, to hear this amazing sound you'll have to endure two things: 1) the sound of my annoying baby talk (which I keep trying to stop doing but somehow cannot seem to) and 2) a shaky camera since it was my dancing that was making him laugh and I was holding the camera. Here ya go:

And lastly, here's Luke taking a bath:
